Another problem is damage to the road. no warnings.

The signaling for a problem, if there are any. Those are in Arabic language. even traffic signs, location signs. different traffic lights,

so much uncertainty for a tourist

a warned person should consider this advice

Driving by a rented car   -   Your in Egypt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  -   Partly on personal experience and partly told by friends.

Discipline as in European countries, does not exist here.

driving tests here to get a driving licence are very simple.

The way of driving and there mood, they have no time to lose.  They want to be first. very rare courtesy. So you are visitor to this country. so be careful.

At first drive slowly, do not do unexpected maneuvers. --  expect oncoming traffic in your lane. Sometimes they drive in opposite directions, one-way street has no meaning   -   passing you  on the right lane is common   -  many do not use lights at night. - some dazzle you with their headlights, shine in all directions.

some drivers run away by road after an accident, even wounded, they flee

Police make a rapport, but do not expect solution, --- even if you're in your right

you still rent?

many car rental company's have NO INSURANCE better to rent  with Avis and others insurance is not a must when you own a car.

no insurance, you pay everything,

minor mostly private car company's, ask you to sign a blank check. ---  with all its consequences. --- rent only one car,,,, a clear contract
